The Power Of Boys

The Power Of Boys

It’s extremely hard to stay positive and have a positive outlook on life when everything that happens to you seems to have a negative connotation. Or even when the people around you constantly want to complain about how bad their life is, or how they have it harder than you. This can be true in some cases, but in others it’s not. If you have someone in your life that truly cares about you and your wellbeing than no, I don’t think you should complain about how alone you feel. Or if you’re having a really good day and just one thing one person says is negative towards you, no I don’t think that should ruin the good day you just had. People nowadays are so quick to turn their day bad that some don’t even try to make it good anymore. Lately I have noticed a certain trend with girls my age, and it’s a trend that I believe has been going on for a while now but it’s just taken me this long to notice it.

Girls my age seem to be so much happier when they have a guy in their life. They put guys on such high pedestals that they seem to just forget about themselves. I’m guilty of this. Without a guy in your life you can feel alone, or as if you don’t mean something to anyone. Something that I’ve had to realize recently, with going through a recent breakup, is that you have your family and your friends. You don’t necessarily need that guy to be happy and to live out your life. Yes, at the time it might seem like your whole world is falling apart, but in reality, it’s not. Your life is just taking a different route, a route without that certain someone. But the new route you’re taking will lead you to another someone, and then another, and then another, all until you find that special someone. But in the meantime, I think us girls shouldn’t give so much power to these guys. They realize the power they have and that’s why it’s so easy for them to break us.
